What’s new in Pearl App 1.2

Fresh bits! On November 3, we released a major software update for RearVision on both iOS and Android to boost performance and make it even easier to use.

There are many small improvements included in this update, but I wanted to point out two of the biggest additions.

On iOS, Improved Bluetooth video quality — RearVision uses Bluetooth to send video in places where your phone is connected to another Wi-Fi network. With this update, you’ll see significantly improved video quality in these situations. Check out the side-by-side comparison below. [Editor’s note: Must click on Medium article below to view this.]

On Android, Auto-Launch (beta) — At the start of your drive, the Pearl app can now launch automatically whenever you place your phone on the Pearl phone mount. The video from RearVision will pop right up without even needing to unlock your phone.
