Bay Area startups dominate SVForum’s World Cup-flavored Launch competition
The five startup winners of SVForum’s World Cup-flavored Launch competition this week all have their U.S. headquarters in the Bay Area.
New SVForum CEO Adiba Barney brought an international theme to this year’s competition, allowing only one company from any country to compete in five categories: Digital media-mobile, education technology, health technology, next generation technology and enterprise software.
There were 30 companies chosen to compete, representing 14 countries including South Africa, Finland and Thailand.
