Santa Cruz County Chamber of Commerce (“SCCC”) and Santa Cruz Works (“SCW”) announced today the formation of a strategic partnership. The objectives include connecting local businesses with skilled job seekers, promotion of local products and services, and a unified voice on key local city issues.
“As our regional economy is quickly changing from agriculture and tourism through technological advancement, the Chamber turns to organizations like Santa Cruz Works to form strategic alliances that benefit all industry sectors in Santa Cruz” said Casey Beyer, CEO of SCCC.
“Many of our members are committed to our city’s economic vitality,” explains Doug Erickson, Executive Director of SCW. “We see the Chamber as a bedrock institution advocating for local businesses. As many cities move away from dependence on federal and state support, local organizations will become the voice and tools to act on important issues such as affordable housing and transportation”.
