On-site Supplier Data Collection Shown to Enhance Responsible Sourcing
SupplyShift has released their mobile application, extending the platform’s ability to collect and analyze data from suppliers who could be anywhere in the world. SupplyShift’s mobile application allows companies to create higher levels of visibility into remote areas of the world—even those without internet connectivity. This enables complete coverage for enterprise supply chains, providing more comprehensive supplier data to support improved sustainability through responsible sourcing.
“The mobile application facilitates some of the most ambitious projects happening on SupplyShift today,” says SupplyShift COO, Jamie Barsimantov. “One customer uses it to collect data on over 15,000 coffee farmers in Rwanda. That data is used to back their decisions to provide training and financial assistance, encourage environmental stewardship and better farming practices, and target for audits to improve livelihoods for all the project’s stakeholders.”
The most difficult areas to navigate are those closest to the source where the most impactful improvements can be made. SupplyShift mobile tools ease that burden by allowing data to be collected in-field at farms, remote facilities, and other off-grid locations. Mobile data syncs up with SupplyShift’s cloud database, where it can be combined with other data feeds, mapped, audited, and analyzed using a powerful suite of analytic tools. This provides actionable intelligence for companies to increase efficiencies, eliminate responsible sourcing risks, and ultimately reach supply chain performance goals.
SupplyShift Mobile Availability and Use
The mobile application is available on both iOS and Android devices for use in any SupplyShift project. Custom or standardized assessments, interviews, or field audits can all be loaded onto mobile devices for offline, on-site coverage. Offline data collection automatically syncs with the project database so that mobile data can be viewed in conjunction with other data feeds.
SupplyShift provides a comprehensive supplier network to seamlessly gather and analyze supply chain data, connecting companies to de-risk and improve supply chains while helping brands build sustainable supplier networks that are both consistent and responsible. SupplyShift’s cloud-based platform allows for reliable data management and performance measurement, secure traceability for supply chain transparency, and improved collaboration throughout the entire supply chain. We believe that, when properly managed, a company’s supplier network can deliver incredible value for the company, the greater economy, and can play an important role in changing our world for the better.
