MBEP invites Central Coast residents to take broadband survey

Technology is a proven catalyst for economic growth in all industries and for our residents. Monterey Bay Economic Partnership’s (MBEP) goal is to encourage ubiquitous access to high-speed broadband throughout Santa Cruz, Monterey and San Benito counties.
Working with many partners MBEP has been part of several efforts to successfully expand broadband coverage in the Monterey region, such as:
- Adapting Charter and AT&T in Soledad
- Upgrading Comcast digital services
- Implementing Wi-Fi services in the Watsonville Plaza
- Bringing universal broadband to Gonzales
To successfully improve broadband coverage, we need to better understand the needs of our businesses, families, and individuals within the community. We have partnered with the Central Coast Broadband Coalition (CCBC) to create a survey designed to identify which areas have insufficient high-speed internet access. Your responses will allow us to further our goal of improving access to technology in all areas of the Monterey Bay region and ensuring future coverage.
