To our students, sponsors, and community:

Our executive team is proud to report CruzHacks is now an official 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization! This is great news for our sponsors, as contributions made to CruzHacks will now be tax-deductible. Our newly acquired non-profit status has minimal impact on the way CruzHacks is logistically planned or executed, though it strengthens the community-oriented atmosphere of the weekend-long event significantly.

A hackathon as large and immersive as CruzHacks is the ideal environment for students to envision technology-oriented solutions to societal problems. CruzHacks has always encouraged projects that are geared toward social change.  Operating as a non-profit organization reinforces commitment to our students, sponsors, and community first and foremost.

CruzHacks is organized and run by a team of students, which ensures that sponsor contributions and other donations are properly allocated and used only to enable the event to be enriching and productive for attending students. We are excited about the direction CruzHacks is moving in, and continue to seek sponsors who share our vision of a more innovative and connected community.
