Acclaimed game designer speaking at UCSC on Tue May 6

Game designer and producer Robin Hunicke will present a talk titled “Expanding Games” on Tuesday, May 6, beginning at 12:30 p.m. at the UCSC Digital Art Research Center (Room 230). Admission is free and open to the public.

Award-winnning game designer and producer Robin Hunicke will present a talk titled “Expanding Games” on Tuesday, May 6, beginning at 12:30 p.m., at the UCSC Digital Arts Research Center.

Named one of Forbes’s “Top 12 Women in Gaming to Watch” in 2013, Hunicke is the co-founder and CEO of San Francisco’s independent game studio, Funomena.

Hunicke has a background in fine art, computer science, and applied game studies. She is best known for her role as executive producer of the award-winning Playstation Network title Journey.
