Chris Miller, founder of Launch Brigade, a local web development agency run out of launchbrigadeNextSpace Santa Cruz, has been accepted into the Propel Small Business Growth program.

The PROPEL Small Business Growth Program (PSBG) helps business owners to develop and execute a key growth strategy and achieve a major milestone in annual revenue.

During the 9-month program, 20 business owner participants attend a half-day group workshop per month in Oakland and attend individual advising sessions.

According to PROPEL, participants will:

▪    Implement a significant improvement or revenue growth initiative
▪    Apply practical business principles and tools immediately in their business
▪    Improve marketing, management, and decision-making
▪    Develop the ownership mindset
▪    Increase public visibility for their business, and as a leader

Chris reflects on Launch Brigade:

Launch Brigade has steadily added to our headcount since and are currently a team of ten.  We’ve come a long way in our 5+ years here, and having the opportunity to get mentoring from a program like Propel right now is perfect timing.

PROPEL is specifically for small businesses with annual revenues from $100,000 to $2 million. It is designed to help business owners to get ahead of the day-to-day details, develop and execute growth strategies, and cross the major milestones in annual revenue.

The 2014 PROPEL Small Business Program is offered by the Alliance for Community Development, a nonprofit 501(c) (3) organization in Oakland with the mission of increasing access to capital for companies with diverse leadership.

The deadline to apply is February 18, 2014.
